Our Horses
Belle
Belle is a fantastic pony – used for both children and adults, she has taught many people how to ride! Belle excels at jumping, winning all four of our showjumping league classes.
Donna
Donna has been at Achalone Activities for many years now and is regarded as the 'Queen Bee'. She has taught so many people to ride and is still going although in semi-retirement. Donna, like Star, goes to RDA every Wednesday.
Harvey
Harvey has been part of Games Teams of years gone by – he's even been in the main ring at the Highland Show doing the Pony Club Games. Now he is another of our little school masters: ready to jump, trek or be groomed!
Jess
Jess is an great all-rounder – used for both children and adults, she is happy to trek or take part in lessons but only jumps now and again. Jess is a regular attendee of the RDA.
Molly
Molly is happy trekking, in lessons and can really jump...when she tries! She won our Chase-me Charlie competition in her first year here.
Star
Star is a little star! She will do everything: go trekking, do lessons and takes part in our jumping evenings as well as being in the Caithness games team. She also goes along to RDA.
Steel (Latheron Lapwing)
Steel is used mostly for our lead rein children and as you can see he can really jump! He was also in the Caithness games team in the 2008 area competition.
Teddy
Teddy is one of the new kids on the block – arriving in 2007. He is a young guy - turning 5 this year. Teddy excels at jumping and is great to hack out. He is a cheeky chap but great fun to ride and kind to work with.
