Right, let’s get into the questions!

Can anyone apply for a bad credit mobile phone?

Well almost anyone can apply for bad credit mobile phone contract. There are two definite exceptions.

Firstly, if you are not a legal resident of the United Kingdom then you cannot apply. For example, you may be an exchange student in the country for a year. Although you could technically take out a 12-month contract, our offerings are only for citizens of the United Kingdom.

Secondly, you must be 18 years or older to apply for a bad credit mobile phone contract. We will not make any exceptions to this rule, even if you prove to us you are turning 18 in a month’s time. You will just have to be patient and wait for your birthday.

If I make an application and get approved, how long will I wait until I get my phone?

Luckily, we have some of the best staff in the business. Let’s take a quick look at a scenario. Say you apply for your phone at 9:00 in the morning. It takes between 20 minutes to an hour to process the application. We will then present you with a few contract and handset options that we think are in a responsible price range based on your salary and that you can choose from. Once you have chosen a contract and signed on the dotted line, we will give you your handset there and then. If you do your application online and live a far way away from our offices, we will courier the phone to you overnight.

What documents do I need to bring with me when I make my application?

We need a number of important documents from you. Why? Well, these go a long way in helping us determine which contracts and handsets will work for your current financial situation. So don’t forget to bring along your identity document (your driver’s licence or passport will work as well), proof of address (either a letter from your landlord if you rent, a letter from your bank if you own the property or a utility bill), three months’ worth of pay slips (generally the latest ones you have) and finally, bank statements for the last six month.

So what handsets do you offer?

Pretty much anything you can think of. We even have the latest Apple iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 in stock. Other major brands include Sony, Huawei, and HTC. For a cost-friendly option, consider refurbished smartphones including the iPhone 5s, 6s, Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 or a range of budget smartphones that offer everything the major flagship models have.

I have a little extra cash. Will a deposit help me secure a better phone?

Yes it will. In fact, you will need to pay a deposit should you want one of the latest smartphones such as an iPhone 7 or a Galaxy S7. Remember, we will only give you access to these handsets if we think you can afford to pay them off with ease each month.

Typically how long can I expect to pay off a contract?

Most bad credit mobile phone contracts run for a period of 24 months. However, should you choose an entry level phone, you could possibly secure a 12-month contract. Alternatively, if you want a flagship smartphone such as an Apple iPhone 7, you may elect for a 36-month contract. This will bring the monthly prices down but remember, it is at our digression to award a contract with a flagship smartphone.
